They make up finding accommodation for their visiting family or even as mundane as where to go for a Greek souvlaki sandwich.

Not knowing the ropes often mean that international students overpay and / or get underserved.

Can-Education Consortium works with AlphaBeta Consultants to filter companies that wish to provide services to our international student members.

The service providers has to prove that is tried and true. Or simply that they are reasonable and reliable and will entertain complaints with respect and fairly.

Here is Common Issue faced by International Students: An International Student from Jordan, Joseph Hassen (not real name), worked hard to improve his English. He uses every opportunity to practice. CEC suggested that he join a school club which has more Canadians as members, and decided on the Wrestling Club. His English improved significantly in a short period of time. Sounds good right? Not always. Unfortunately, in Joseph’s case, fellow students from his own country and region ignored him because he became too Canadian (speaking English all the time).
